Bill Gates on Digital Currency
« on: February 10, 2014, 04:25:32 PM »
Gates doing an AMA on Reddit today...

Q "What are your thoughts about cryptocurrencies like Bitcoin?"

BG: "The foundation is involved in digital money but unlike Bitcoin it would not be anonymous digital money. In Kenya M-pesa is being used for almost half of all transactions. Digital money has low transaction costs which is great for the poor because they need to do financial transactions with small amounts of money. Over the next 5 years I think digital money will catch on in India and parts of Africa and help the poorest a lot. "(

India and Africa alone have 2 BILLION people folks!

Having access to a share of 100 Billion WHOLE VALUE coins seems more realistic than trying to show someone how to spend 0.004567 btc

DOGE has value alone in it's ability for WHOLE coins to be used all over the world rather than decimal currencies!
