How doge stacks up against others.
« on: January 25, 2014, 04:57:18 AM »
I have come across some posts on other coin forums running down dogecoin,The latest was on infinitecoin forum asking why their coin was lagging behind a crap coin like doge(his words not mine)I believe this to be just sour grapes but as my knowledge of the technicalities involved in cryptocurrency creation is limited i am asking those of you more qualified than i am to explain why his statement is inaccurate,I could ask this person to give his reasons for his comments but I feel I would get a more constructive response from dogecoin community,Regards, aok.

I am by no means a qualified person to answer the question. But I am more than happy to lay in my opinion. I have waded through many of pages seeing what people have to say. From what I can tell, they take offense to the Doge's uprising because it doesn't have a serious theme. They don't want a light hearted currency. To some of them this is serious business and the Doge is just mockery to them. It would be as if suddenly the fiat markets started valuing against Monopoly money.

Oh and because they don't have any and they are jealous.

You will get more information than you probably need here:

Take your time and just try to read a couple coins a day (not the dead ones). It will make reading articles and comparing coins a lot easier down the road. Just click on the coin to go to the announcement thread and read up on the differences. You can also just search the forum directly for technical explanations. I am personally considering investing a few thousand into Peercoin, however I am also in the same boat and need to do a lot more homework before making such moves.
