SEPTEMBER 2014 worth mining with PC?
« on: September 22, 2014, 03:26:05 AM »
Hello gentlemen,

in past 2 weeks I began to be interested in cryptocurrencies. I wanted to mine bitcoin as it was the article that attracted me to cryptocurrnecies. I found out mining with pc is not efficient at all. "thanks" to ASIC computers (or chips/processors?). I have moved to LITECOIN there I found ASIC also went on the field of SCRIPT algorythm and the only way to make it profitable is to:
1) buy a constant source of mhs.
2) buy an ASIC + have free or cheap electricity (I saw one that costs 1600$ takes 100W and makes 15.000 mhs)

I am worried its the same issue with DOGECOIN.

my question is, DID ASIC rigs OVERTAKE DOGECOIN MINING? Are single GPU pc out of the business?

thanks  :)

Powerful Scrypt and Asic miners have Absolutely killed single GPU mining and CPU mining. You can still mine with them but rest assured after a day or two you will be convinced you just wasted your time.

If you are just starting out i would advise keeping your mining investment low until you get the feel for things and understand how fast Equipment becomes outdated.
