question regarding offline wallet
« on: March 28, 2014, 04:13:46 PM »
I created my wallet with dogecoin-qt application and proceeded to encrypt it with my passphrase. I saved it on an external HDD that is never hooked up to my computer. My question goes to how to about using it (when i'm ready).

At this point when I'm ready to move my DGC's(stored in an websites pool ATM) to a my wallet so I can transfer/exchange/etc, how do I go about that process? By doing that have I avoid having a 3rd party hold my coins correct? I'm leary of any 3rd party random person holding onto my financial data.

Sorry for the silly question, just trying to do this right! Thanks for any light you could shed into this!

Just type in your doge address of the wallet that is stored into your computer and send the doges there. They will arrive but do remember to keep your wallet synced as it syncs automatically everyday you open it.
