How to use Dogecoin backup file
« on: February 06, 2014, 07:54:06 AM »
I have a file saved on a memory stick as a wallet back up file but was wondering how I would use this if needed, is it just a case of copying onto another computer and running a dogecoin wallet?

It is that simple. Just place it in the same folder where "wallet.dat" is stored (and make sure your backup is named that or the wallet client will not load it). It is a good idea to keep your backup a different name that way if you did happen to drag/drop the backup file into the folder you won't overwrite your current wallet. You may want to make sure your wallet is backed up on a couple different mediums at least, not just one UFD.
