Dual PSU. Monitor won't turn on!
« on: March 03, 2014, 08:40:00 PM »
Hi guys,

I've got a 4 card r9 280x rig thats set up. (correct i think).

The monitor simply won't turn on, whenever i add the second PSU to the mobo it says no input signal, im connecting the monitor to the VGA slot on the motherboard.

This is my setup:

4x R9 280x - (3 sapphire vapor), (1  sapphire dual x)

1x Corsair RM 1000w

1x FSP 750w

Asrock fatality performance mobo

4GB ram

320GB Sata HD

Intel celeron CPU G1820 2.7GHz

I've got the mobo, cpu, all molex risers, HDD, and 2 gpus on the corsair 1000w.

2 cards on the fps 750w.

The monitor turns on when powering 2 cards - main PSU. I've shortened the second PSU with a paper clip (green and black wire). I am also powering the motherboard with a screwdriver on the PWR_ON pins. But whenever i try to power everything together, the only thing that doesn't work is the monitor.

Please help.

Much appreciated.
