I'm having the same issue that was having. Fun Fact: everyone hates you if you don't post your fix before you bugger off and leave the thread to die. :P

I copied the conf provided at the end of the OP and put it in an appropriately named text file with the .exe and in the roaming app data, but it still isn't syncing. What gives? Can someone post how to configure and place the .conf? Thanks.

Issue fixed. Now I'll include how to fix it for anyone else having this issue.
Make sure that it's saved as a .conf, not a text file called dogecoin.conf, and put it in %AppData%/dogecoin.

I made such a dumb mistake that I didn't post the fix in detail, and thought anyone coming to doge would probably know where to put the file, sorry for buggering off :P I've linked to this topic from mine now.

For anyone else having trouble, the contents of the dogecoin.conf file mentioned above have to be this:
