SoMaze: The Dogecoin Puzzle Game
« on: January 25, 2014, 12:36:28 PM »
Hello all,

I've been a part of the Dogecoin community for a while now, and I've been mining in it since the beginning.  The more time I spend in the community and the more I saw the passion for this coin, the more I believed that it could have a permanent place in the cryptocurrency culture.  My passion is in game design and development, so I started to think about ways I could use this coin and make a game around it.  I didn't want to build another dice rolling game.  I wanted to build something that took some skill, and something where you weren't playing the house.  You were playing against other real players.  So I started working on a game, and SoMaze is the result.

What is SoMaze?

SoMaze is a multiplayer, asynchronous puzzle game that lets users create and solve puzzles and potentially win coins by doing it.

I've been working very hard on the basic mechanics of the game, and I think I'm ready for an alpha test.  The purpose of this test is to make sure the basic game is solid and we don't find any earth shattering bugs before we start using real Dogecoin.

To play, simply go to the site and sign in with your Google OpenID.  When you do, you'll be given 100,000 fake coins to play with.  We'll run the test for two weeks, and after the two weeks is up, the top three players with the most coins will receive some DOGE as my way of saying thanks.

If you decide to play, PLEASE give me feedback about what you like, what you don't like, what you'd like to see in the future.  I have a lot of really cool ideas on how to expand the game that I hope to implement.

Thank you very much for your time, and I hope you enjoy.
