This type of construction can happen on their own, but most often it happens in groups with other peers. By adopting a constructivist method of teaching, students are given plenty of opportunities to explain their knowledge through exchanges with the teacher, through access via books and resources. The students are also given lots of opportunity for social negotiation through peer interaction, such as group work. Group work can offer a lot of learning advantages. It offers the students the opportunity for discussion and gives them practice in negotiation and compromise.
Colonization and Views on Wealth in Joseph Conrad's Heart of Darkness and Chinua Achebe's Things Fall Apart   The novels Heart of Darkness by Joseph Conrad and Things Fall Apart by Chinua Achebe share a common theme; both deal with the colonization of Africa by settlers from Europe. When one examines the motives for this imperialist attitude in each book, one notices that in both books the motivation for colonization revolves around the gaining of wealth. However Conrad and Achebe define wealth differently.

The Women’s Movement after 1870     There were many events that contributed to a movement for women after    1870. Among these were the Enlightenment, the French Revolution, the    Chartist movement and the poor state of education and working    conditions for women. These factors together meant that inevitably    there was going to be a movement after 1870. I am going to talk about    these key factors in this essay. The Enlightenment was a philosophical movement that occurred during    the midnineteenth century.
William Shakespeare's Romeo And Juliet     вЂњHe who falls in love meets a worse fate than he who falls from a    rock” said Titus Maccius Plautus once. They found their only love    from their only hate. William Shakespeare’s, Romeo and Juliet, the    story of two young lovers that lost their lives for love. But who was    responsible. The family feud that had been going on for centuries,    fate, the nurse or Friar Lawrence. In this essay I will be discussing    every point that could have contributed to Romeo and Juliet’s death.
The Journey Within              The theme of being trapped extends to many levels throughout James Joyce’s collection of short stories, Dubliners. The reader can often feel surrounded by an inescapable force that is making them read this seemingly plotless book. Escaping this book becomes no more easier when asked to do a literary analysis. Never fear though, Dubliners transforms itself into a decently workable piece of art. In examining the Humanities Base Theme of individual and society and the Literary Base Themes of escape, journey, and entrapment in Dubliners there are quite a few examples of these themes that coincide with the readers’ feelings.

Thermionic Emission and Radiation and HalfLifes     For the writeup section of my coursework I went on a trip to the Kent    and Canterbury Hospital in order to look at the application of physics    within the field of medicine. I intend to spend time explaining two    physics principles which have uses in this scientific field, and    illustrate how they are used, either within the diagnosis or treatment    of a patient. Two principles:       1. Thermionic emission. 2. Radiation and halflives.
Henry James's Turn of the Screw was written in a time when open sexuality was looked down upon. On the surface, the story is simply about a governess taking care of two children who are haunted by two ghosts. However, the subtext of the story is about the governess focusing on the children's innocence, and the governess trying to find her own sexual identity. Priscilla L. Walton wrote a gender criticism themed essay about the Turn of the Screw, which retells certain parts of the story and touches on the significance they provide for the sexually explicit theme.
“I was placed in an isolation unit for polio victims. My parents were not allowed to touch me. I looked at them through a glass window and waved to them. I still have the small yarn bear that was given to me by my parents to hold while I was in isolation” (Boynton). Poliomyelitis, commonly referred to as Polio, is a contagious disease that targets children under five years old (World Health Organization). It started during the late eighteen hundreds, early twentieth century. By 1952, “more than 21,000 paralytic cases were reported” (CDC Poliomyelitis).
