LOS ANGELES – UCLA senior linebacker Eric Kendricks continues to be recognized for his stellar senior campaign. Kendricks was named a Walter Camp second team All-American and garnered first team honors by USA Today and Scout.

The 2014 selection marks the second straight year that UCLA has had a linebacker recognized as Anthony Barr earned numerous honors in 2013 and later went on to be a first round selection in the National Football League draft.

Kendricks, the Butkus Award winner, finalist for the Lott IMPACT Trophy, and All-American, currently leads the nation in solo tackles average per game (8.0) and is sixth in the country in total tackles per game average (11.6). He has led or tied for the team high in tackles in each game this season.

In the final regular season contest against Stanford, Kendricks moved past linebacker Jerry Robinson (1975-78) to become UCLA’s all-time leading tackler (471 tackles). He has also joined Robinson and safety Don Rogers (1981-83) as the only Bruins to ever put together three straight seasons of at least 100 tackles. He is the fourth Bruin to total as many Real Madrid jersey as 400 tackles for a season.

Following his 11-tackle effort against the Cardinal, Kendricks has totaled 24 career double-digit tackle games and tied the school record, held by Rogers Chelsea home jersey and linebacker Craig Davis (1989), with 10 this season. Kendricks and the 14th-ranked Bruins (9-3) will take on No. 11 Kansas State (9-3) Liverpool jersey 2015 in the Valero Alamo Bowl on Jan. 2 in San Antonio (3:45 PT/ 5:45 CT).
