The Parkhead side were left with just eight points from six games and know they need to improve against whoever they are paired with when the draw is made on Monday.

Deila said: “It was a poor performance. We were not 100 per cent and there was a lack of intensity and aggression.

“It’s disappointing that we weren’t up for the game.

“We scored three goals, that was a positive and I think the subs (Darnell Fisher, Liam Henderson and Anthony Stokes) were positive Messi jersey when they came on, but defensively we gave away too many chances and conceded four.

“You should win if you score three goals away in Europe.

“Individually, there were some bad performances but also as a team. There was a lot of space between the defence and midfield.

“We were talking before the game about being compact and we didn’t get that at the beginning of the second half.”

Deila admitted Celtic would have to improve regardless of whom they face when the competition resumes in February as they go into the pot for Monday’s last-32 draw.

Deila added: “We had the chance to win at 2-1 and it was disappointing that we gave away the victory.

“We have to take this with us to the next stage. We have the players but must think about the formation when we play away in Europe.”

Stefan Johansen agreed with his boss and said: “It’s not good enough but at least we’re through. But we need to be much better than this if we’re going to reach the next round.

“I don’t think the display had anything to do with the fact we were already through. We all looked sharp before the game but shouldn’t concede four goals in the way we did.

“I can’t imagine Barcelona jersey sale what a team would do to us in the next round if we played like that.”

He added: “I’m pleased for Stefan Scepovic who scored and has started lately in the Europa League games. It was a good night for him.”

Dinamo, who ended up third in Group D, had collected just three points from five matches – despite a 5-1 winning start in September against Astra.

He said: “We were more dangerous than Celtic.

“I am sorry we didn’t play at this level from the beginning.”
