1) GTFO with the GPU, a AMD Dual-core 1,8Ghz thing would do alright2) Buy 280x's, 290 are more expensive and not worth it3) 3x R9 280x, 2GM Ram, 1000W PSU = Yes
So with an R9 280X I should expect 400 KH... which means I will never break even. =_=
Men but 290 khs/power > 280x khs/power about 30% more power eficent per khs.In long therm it will return even in electricity bill... 100$ difference will be consumed in 2-3 month per card.290 they are loud for sure but they are good.look at that:http://www.holynerdvana.com/2013/11/litecoin-mining-with-r9-290-and-r9-290x.html
The 290 also used a bit more power right? Look at PSU prices above 1000W, Expensive shit
Both 290 and 280X use the same power (250W stock), the 280X does about 700kh/s the 290 does 820kh/s at stock clocks. The 290 is definitely the better card long term, especially if you plan on using it for gaming. Also to get max clocks from a 280X you are looking at ~320-340W for ~800kh/s, an overclocked 290 uses ~300W for 875kh/s.
